Oiltimers
met at the Parkland Community Park for an introductory disc golf clinic
under the instruction of Amber Chiasson, a Calgary pro disc golfer.
Mark Twain supposedly once said that golf was a good walk spoiled. If so, disc
golf is taking back that good walk. Gone are the cumbersome bag of clubs,
manicured lawns and expensive green fees. Disc golfers head out into
local parks and forests and simply wander about, throwing discs between or
around trees and rocks into strategically placed metal baskets.

temporary ones in Calgary:
